How to insert emoji in Ubuntu text editor

I want to insert emojis into my document in the Ubuntu text editor. I do not want to copy/paste from the internet. Is there any text editor function that I can use?

You don't have to copy emojis from the internet. Ubuntu text editor comes with several emojis.

Here are the steps to select an emoji:

• Open your document in the text editor.
• Right click -> Insert Emoji
• Select your desired emoji from the list.

When you click on "Insert Emoji", you will get the following popup window:
